CUPPING / GUA SHA

  • Cupping is like a reverse massage! Instead of pushing down, cupping uses fire and a glass cup to create suction and pulls on the muscle. Gua Sha is  also called scraping and uses a massage tool to get deep in the tissues. It has the same effects as cupping and promotes relaxation. It releases the myofascial tissue which is the connective tissue that support and protect your muscles and bone to relieve pain. It also increases blood circulation, alleviates adhesions, encourages neovascularization for anti inflammatory properties. Not only is it good for pain but it also benefits the immune system by supporting the circulatory and lymphatic system. It is a great detox and lots of studies have shown that there is a significant difference in biochemical, hematological, and immunological parameters after cupping.
